I was invited by Aaron to participate on this panel (thank you Aaron). It was a packed room of at least 120 people with overflow. The questions Aaron posed were fairly general, basically introductory Hierarchy Management (HM) stuff. While we were all competitors on the panel, the conversation was cordial and good humored. The final question revolved around HM futures and I was fortunate enough to be able to make the point that Siperian’s capabilities were well in advance of what our competition offered. It just happened to work out that way since Initiate and others went first and talked about capabilities we already had in the product as their future vision. Needless to say, we were delighted 🙂

Data Integrations Services TrackVENDOR CROSS EXAMINATION: Hierarchy Management vs. Hierarchy-by-Anarchy
By 2007-08, sophisticated hierarchy management will become a mainstay feature of all CDI-MDM vendors. This is based on recognition of a need to both grow beyond mature markets and to support global customer service. The market demand for customer hierarchy management capability to augment mega vendor’s data hub strategies will explode during 2007-08. Clearly, CDI-MDM solutions which incorporate such capabilities will be a key factor in successful deployment of globally-enabled MDM solutions. Also to be discussed:
