Just checked the Twittergrader.com site this morning after reading about the Ashton Kutcher vs. CNN race to 1M followers and not sure if it was just a glitch, or my e-mail to their support team, but it appears to be working now. Except it has a tendency to “hang” so I only give it a 60/100 score for reliability.
My Twitter Grade is (drum roll …)
Rank
315,291 out of 2,092,280 with a score of 81/100
However, that does rank me among the Twitter Elite, by ranking 6th in San Anselmo 🙂
Not bad for a months tweeting, but I’ll bet many people are registered and don’t do anything. For example, the person who has twitter.com/ramon only has 2 followers, 1 following and 1 update.
Which brings me to a question about “Twitter name squatting”. I read in the CNN article that CNN “came to an agreement” for purchase with a British Web developer who used the Twitter name CNNBRK to feed his website 3 years ago. The same site which is in an ongoing follower accumulation battle with Ashton Kutcher. How long before people just landgrab Twitter names like domain names and wait for their payday? Maybe it’s already happening.
By the way as many of you may know, Demi Moore aka MrsKutcher on Twitter is also in the top 10 for number of followers. Last month I heard a news report on the radio that someone sent Demi a Tweet saying she was going to commit suicide and Demi RT (retweeted) and caused a major stir with people calling in from all over the world to the San Jose police station to ask them to stop this woman.
Oh well off to check Websitegrader.com to see where ramonchen.com ranks. Probably not high since I don’t have much traffic yet and I haven’t done all the necessary meta tagging and optimization, but if you are reading this via my Tweet post, you are upping my ranking in bothgraders … thank you very much.
