Subject: Hot News Alert: MetaTV NCTA preparations – MetaTV interview to be featured on looping channel in NCTA hotel rooms
Two weeks ago, I participated in an interview in Boston for a piece being produced by The Cable Channel. The interview consisted of a fireside chat style Q&A around iTV in general and MetaTV. As part of an hour long segment the interview lasted 15 minutes and will probably end up being around just 1-2 minutes in the final segment (and I have no idea how the piece will get edited or in fact what I said – just kidding). However, from a marketing standpoint it will give us coverage in over 18 hotels (16,000+ rooms) at the conference.
The piece was produced by The Cable Channel who normally charge and solicit for the privilage of being on the show. Cost can range anything up to $10-16,000 for a profile. Because of our rising reputation as an industry leader, we were selected to participate in this piece at NO COST (go P2P). Other folks in the piece included Josh Bernoff of Forrester, Craig Enenstein, Snr VP Biz Dev for Liberty Digital and Sarah Fay, President of Carat Interactive (ad agency).
It will run on air in many hotels by Saturday afternoon, and in the rest by Sunday morning. There will be a brand new show on air Tuesday morning with content from the actual show floor on Monday.
There will also be full-page tune-in ads in the show issues of Multichannel News, Cablevision and Broadcasting & Cable for more information about our programming and our sponsors. It will also be streamed on the web at www.cablechannel.com after NCTA.
