IBM recognized Synon as a driving force in the AS/400 industry by presenting Synon with the AS/400 Significant Contributions Award at IBM AS/400 Summit '97. Bill Zeitler, General Manager, IBM AS/400 Division, presented Rich Goldberg, President and CEO, Synon Inc, with this award noting the longstanding partnership and major influence Synon has demonstrated in the AS/400 community. Synon was among the first two companies to receive this honor. "Synon the company received the award -- but the honor is really shared by all the employees, customers, and business partners who have helped us achieve our success," said Rich Goldberg.
